Training and Exchange of Best Practices regarding the Registration of GIs

IP Key LA is jointly organizing, with the Andean Secretariat and the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC), an Andean Workshop on Geographical Indications (GIs) and Appellations of Origin (AOs), with the purpose of gathering geographical indications experts and negotiators from the Andean countries, to analyse and review the registration processes and implementation of regulations applicable to GIs and AOs in this region.

The activity consists of a two-day event dedicated to the examination of GI and appellations of origin that will take place in Bogota from November 29th to 30th.

With this activity, IP Key LA aims to explore current practices in the Andean countries on GIs and to raise awareness of the importance of approaching practices applicable to GIs and AOs.
