IP Café at South China University of Technology

To explore digital copyright themes, on December 18 IP Key China and South China University of Technology (SCUT) hosted an IP Café on their campus in Guangzhou. The event primarily looked at copyright in relation to the video games industry as well as explored related issues in the digital environment such as licensing, piracy and cloning. Judicial mission in the EU with the SPC

From 25 November to 4 December 2018, IP Key China travelled with a DDG delegation from China’s Supreme People’s Court (SPC), Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Nanjing IP Courts, for judicial exchanges in Brussels, Luxembourg and Munich.

EUCIPAN’s Third EU-China IP Academic Forum successfully held in Shanghai

22 November marked a new stage in the development of the EU-China IP Academic Network (EUCIPAN), an initiative of IP Key China to support exchange between EU and Chinese universities specialising in intellectual property. The Third EU-China IP Academic Forum, hosted by Fudan University Law School, brought together over a hundred professors, researchers and students to join the discussions and shape the future of IP research cooperation.

The Netherlands and Italy

The EU-China IPR Customs Working Group Meeting in the EU

From 11-14 December, IP Key China, in partnership with DG TAXUD and the General Administration of Customs of China, organised a visit of a delegation of Chinese customs representatives to the European Union. During their visits to airports and seaports in Italy and The Netherlands, the EU and Chinese customs officers exchanged knowledge and experience on practical cooperation on IPR enforcement.
