The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, (MOFCOM), and DG Trade of the European Commission, celebrated the 10th anniversary of the EU-China IP Dialogue Mechanism with a high-level event in Brussels on the 29th of June.

IP Policies, Legal Framework and Enforcement Practices in the EU: Chinese Inter-Ministerial Visit

The EU and China have maintained close and effective dialogue on intellectual property with fruitful results achieved and commitment made to continue carrying out the IP Key Project. In order to deepen mutual understanding on IP protection, extensive exchanges are necessary with relevance to IP related policies, the legislative framework and enforcement of IP rights.  Today’s globalised and digital economies are reshaping the world.

10 Year Anniversary of the EU-China IP Dialogue Mechanism Flagship Event Brussels

The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, (MOFCOM), and DG Trade of the European Commission, celebrated  the 10th anniversary of the EU-China IP Dialogue Mechanism with a high-level event in Brussels on June 29th. It was in the margins of the EU-China Summit and included the signing of a new memorandum of understanding on future cooperation in IP matters.

EU and Chinese high-level representatives discussed the achievements of this dialogue mechanism and looked at how this process will develop in the next 10 years.

Endorsement of IP Key’s Yearly Action Plan 2015

IP Key’s Yearly Action Plan (YAP) for 2015 was endorsed by its respective management boards in February. The YAP 2015 was drafted in close consultation with a total of 15 Chinese agencies and ministries under the coordination of MOFCOM. It contains an ambitious programme which constitutes the working basis of the New EU-China IP Cooperation. The activities, as listed and described below, will be implemented in cooperation with the relevant Chinese counterparts as highlighted.

Latest Report Published by IP Key

IP Key is pleased to announce the publication of its latest report - Creating a "model" utility model patent system: A comparative analysis of the utlity model patent systems in Europe and China. The report is based on activities conducted in partnership with China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and the support of representatives of the patent offices in Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany and Italy.

The Opening Ceremony of EU-China Training on Criminal Enforcement

EU-China Training on Criminal Enforcement was held in the Puku campus of Jiangsu Police Institute  on November 27th, 2014. Mr. Cao Yingping, DDG of Economic Crime Investigation Division- MPS, Mr. Benoit Lory, Minister Counsellor of the Trade Section -EUDEL and Mr. Wu Yuezhang, the president of Jiangsu Police Institute gave opening key note speeches. The opening ceremony was moderated by Mr. Zhang Peng, Deputy Director of Economic Crime Investigation Division- MPS. Mr.

15th EU-China IP Working Group Meeting

The 15th meeting of the EU-China IP Working Group was held in support of the EU-China IP Dialogue on Wednesday 3rd December at MOFCOM in Beijing, China.  Co-chaired by Mr Anders C Jessen, Head of Unit, DG Trade, European Commission  and Mr Chen Fuli, Deputy Director  General, Treaty and Law Department, MOFCOM.
