Este seminario virtual abordará por qué la PI es importante para las Pymes latinoamericanas y europeas. Expertos de ambas regiones explicarán cómo pueden sacarle provecho, utilizando ejemplos y casos de éxito relacionados con los distintos tipos de PI -marcas, diseños, derechos de autor, entre otros-. Además aportarán datos generales sobre la propiedad intelectual como principio de territorialidad, plazos de duración, adquisición del derecho, etc. Finalmente harán mención al Sistema internacional, Europa y las Pymes.

IP Key LA is organizing a new edition of its Roving Seminar for SMEs, this time aimed to Andean countries. The activities will take place in May 2019 in Lima, Quito and Bogota.

The events are aimed at European and local SMEs and seek to disseminate best practices in the use of IP assets for the development of their businesses, as well as publicizing the mechanisms of use and protection of IPR available to them.

Argentina represents a major potential market for European companies that seek to expand their business internationally. It is a country that presents reasonable standards of protection for IPRs, although it also has particularities that business owners should consider to make a successful transition and take advantage of IP as a profitable commercial tool.

The activity designed and organized by IP Key LA consists in a two-day workshop in Montevideo, next April 29th and 30th, aims to provide hands-on training on free EPO tools (Espacenet, CCD and Global Dossier).
