2025 Exchanges on IP Matters with CNIPA
Building on previous cooperation, a delegation of China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) experts in trade marks and patents travelled to Brussels, Belgium, on 2 to 4 June 2025 for study visits and seminars aimed at both policymakers and industry stakeholders.
The CNIPA delegation presented updates on China’s evolving intellectual property legislative landscape and engaged in in-depth discussions with the Directorate-General for Trade on key developments and ongoing challenges. In addition, a meeting with EUIPO Boards of Appeal representatives took place. Under this mission, two seminars were held, offering valuable platforms for rights holders to exchange views and raise questions. These sessions focused on recent reforms in trade mark and patent legislation in China.
