Copyright and Collective management in the digital world

IP Key conducted a training session to members of the press to inform them on new trends and challenges in developing and enforcing the copyright law in todays digital world where technology is often moving much faster than the law.

Prof. Andreas Wiebe,  professor of competition law, intellectual property law and media law at the University of Göttingen, Germany and Maurizio Borghi is professor of law and director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management (CIPPM) at Bournemouth University, gave insights on the current issues in the copyright law and took part in a lively discussion with the press touching on issues with re-twitting; privacy; piracy; data protection; fair use and permission as well as unlikely infringers.

If you are a member of the press and would like to be invited to future press training sessions or would like more information on IP and the work IP Key is doing with China, please contact Jaspal Channa- jaspal.channa@ipkey.org or call 0086 10 8527 5705 x 660.
