The stakeholders’ meeting on EU-China intellectual property rights (IPRs) will take place on 18 April in Beijing. This event aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders in intellectual property organisations and communities.

Focusing on the importance of EU-China cooperation in IPR matters, this event promises to bring together policymakers, academics, industry leaders, IP experts and other key stakeholders from the EU and China to exchange ideas, share best practices and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The stakeholders’ meeting will feature engaging and informative presentations and panel discussions covering a wide range of topics, including:

  • strengthening IPR enforcement through partnership;
  • emerging trends and challenges in the EU-China intellectual property landscape;
  • highlights of successful collaborations in the area of intellectual property;
  • priorities and opportunities for EU-China intellectual property cooperation.

In an increasingly interconnected world, international cooperation is vital if we are to address the complex challenges facing intellectual property. This event provides an invaluable opportunity for stakeholders to come together, stay connected, and explore future cooperation.

The stakeholders’ meeting will be held in person in Beijing, though participants will have the option to join online via Zoom. It is open to representatives from government agencies, industry associations, academic institutions, and other organisations with an interest in IP rights, though seats are limited.
