Following the official launch of IP Key China, a mission composed of 16 Chinese delegates from different ministries and IP agencies travelled to Brussels, Rotterdam and The Hague during the week of 22nd January.
The visit aimed at providing a unique platform for the Chinese and EU representatives to engage into an open dialogue to share views on each other’s IP architecture and functions. Chinese delegates captured the features of the EU IP landscape, including from Member States, whilst providing an opportunity for EU policy-makers and industry stakeholders to understand China’s latest development on IP protection and clarify issues of mutual concern. Both Chinese and European counterparts expressed their satisfaction after the visit and highlighted the convenience of such mutual exchanges for the benefit of the EU-China cooperation in the field of IP rights.
