The EUIPO promotes industry cooperation against IP infringements
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) is the EU’s leading organisation in the fight against counterfeits. It hosts the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights, an integral part of the EUIPO, consisting of a network of experts and specialist stakeholders tasked with enforcement and outreach and knowledge services to protect and promote IP rights and support those directly engaged in enforcement.
On 10 November, the EUIPO organised a Forum on Industry Cooperation Against IP Infringements in the European Union and Southeast Asia in the context of the IP Key SEA project. The online event featured speakers from the Observatory and IP offices and European chambers of commerce in Southeast Asia.
It focused on the topics of the misuse of intermediary services and establishing voluntary collaboration practices against IP infringements. Over 40 participants attended the forum.
