IP Key SEA assists IP Viet Nam on new trademark examination guidelines

IP Key SEA held a meeting with IP Viet Nam officials, trademark examiners and local IP practitioners in Hanoi on 21-22 February to discuss the drafting of the new national trademark examination guidelines.

IP Viet Nam requested technical assistance from IP Key SEA in drafting the trademark examination guidelines of the office using the trademark guidelines of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as a benchmark.  IP Viet Nam expects to improve the quality and consistency of its decisions using trademark examination guidelines based on international best practices.
