IP Key SEA and ARISE + IPR at IP Fair 2018 ‘IP: Powering Change’

The IP Key SEA and ARISE + IPR teams and experts were present at IP Fair 2018 in Bangkok to provide hands-on training on IT tools (ASEAN TMview, ASEAN Designview, GI Database and ASEAN TMclass). Information and expertise on intellectual property (IP) was shared with participants during the exhibition at a dedicated booth.

ARISE + IPR and IP Key SEA are projects funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the EUIPO. Both projects aim to improve the IP environment in the region: ARISE + IPR working with ASEAN IP Offices to achieve the goals set under the ASEAN IPR Action Plan 2016-2025, while IP Key SEA focuses on fostering convergence in the area of IP between individual Southeast Asian countries and the EU.  

IP Fair 2018 is hosted by the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) under the theme of ‘IP: Powering Change’. The event showcases over 250 Thai innovations and IP products, and aims to encourage IP rights holders to create value-added products.  Along with a range of pavilions and stakeholders, there is also an IP Clinic where businesses and other stakeholders can obtain free advice on protecting their IP assets.
