IP Key SEA and ARISE + IPR at IP Fair 2018 ‘IP: Powering Change’

The IP Key SEA and ARISE + IPR teams and experts were present at IP Fair 2018 at BITEC in Bangkok on 6-8 July providing hands-on training on IT tools (ASEAN TMview, ASEAN Designview, GI Database and ASEAN TMclass). Information and expertise on intellectual property (IP) was also shared with participants during the exhibition from a dedicated booth.

IP Fair 2018 was hosted by the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) under the theme of ‘IP: Powering Change’. Following a performance on innovation and then opening remarks from Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) Director General Thosapone Dansuputra, Deputy Minister of Commerce Chutima Boonyaprapassorn officially opened the event with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The event showcased over 250 Thai innovations and IP products, and aimed to encourage IP rights holders to create value-added products.  Along with a range of pavilions and seminars, there was also an IP Clinic where businesses and other stakeholders could obtain free advice on protecting their IP assets.
