IPKey SEA joins IP Fair 2020 in Bangkok to celebrate new innovations from IP-intensive industries

IP Fair is an event organized annually by the Department of Intellectual Property of Thailand (DIP). In 2020, the event took place on 15 and 16 September at Centara Grand Hotel at Central Ladprao, Bangkok. The two-day event aimed to celebrate innovations from IP-intensive industries, strengthen the cooperation between the DIP and the partner agencies, and share best practices and knowledge with businesses and the right owners.

The event consisted of several zones dedicated to different activities, namely IP Champion, IP Showcase, IP Clinic, IP Service, and Business Matching. IP Key SEA ran a booth in the IP Service zone, where partner agencies from both local and international public sectors gathered to provide information on the project's mission and activities and raise awareness on IP among participants. The event was well attended by entrepreneurs, businesses, IP professionals, government officials, university students, and international institutions' representatives.

Taking place as well at the event was the award ceremony of the DIP Photo Contest 2020. The competition was initiated and organized by the DIP and co-sponsored by IP Key SEA on the World Intellectual Property Day occasion. Following the ceremony was a panel discussion on how digital media can help promote the importance of green innovation and the benefits the copyright owners can get from putting their works out for commercial purposes.
