Official visit of the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam at EUIPO

From 26 to 27 September 2019, the EUIPO receives a visit of a delegation from the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam (IP Viet Nam), led by Mr Phan Ngan Son, the Deputy Director General.

IP Viet Nam is an agency under the Ministry of Science and Technology that makes recommendations to and assists the Minister of Science and Technology in coordinating with other ministries and agencies to perform state administration functions in the area of intellectual property. It also directly exercises the State administration function in the field of industrial property.

During their two-day visit to the EUIPO’s premises, the IP Viet Nam delegation will participate in the EUIPO IP Horizon 5.0 Conference and will engage in bilateral meetings on 26 September with representatives of the International Cooperation and Legal Affairs Department. The purpose of these meetings is to exchange information on technical cooperation between the EUIPO and IP Viet Nam in terms of IP as well as Viet Nam’s progress towards its integration into the EUIPO’s flagship tools (TMview, DesignView and TMclass).
