Virtual conference on Modern Copyright Protection Systems organized by IP Key SEA took place on 8 and 9 September 2020 with special attention to the online environment's aspects. The two-day event includes presentations by EU and international Copyright Experts and national presentations by copyright policy officials from South-East Asian countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

IP Key SEA organised from 9 to 21 July a series of webinars on geographical indication (GI) targeting GI and Intellectual property authorities, government officials and GI producers from SEA countries.

The event included the participation of Laurent Lourdais, Representative of the Delegation of the EU to Thailand and the GI expert Aitor Pomares, from the Protection of Geographical Indications in the European Union.

These webinars support the more effective GI protection and control mechanisms that benefit not only GI producers, but also consumers.

On 23, 25 and 29 June 2020, IP Key SEA organised a series of webinars on trade marks targeting trade mark experts, legal officers and businesses in the SEA region to discuss the new developments in non-traditional or new types of trade marks in a fast moving digital world and how these marks are assessed by IP Offices.
