Roving Seminars in China on the RCD and European Patent Systems

IP Key, the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO), and the local IP offices of Beijing, Chongqing, and Guangdong will be holding a roving seminar series on the registered community design (RCD) and European Patent systems. A full-day seminar will be held in Beijing (on November 4th 2016), Chongqing (November 7th 2016), and Zhongshan, Guangdong (November 9th 2016). The seminars are intended to promote understanding of the RCD system, administered by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and European Patent system, administered by the European Patent Office (EPO), and to encourage Chinese companies to use both systems. Each of the seminars will include between 80-100 participants from Chinese industry, Chinese IP lawyers and consultants, and SIPO and provincial/municipal IP office representatives.

-Günther Marten, IP attaché to China, EUIPO

-Hubert Plugge, Director of the Examination Department (Applied Physics), EPO

-Oliver Lutze, Manger, Spruson & Ferguson (Asia)
