The 9th Working Group meeting in the framework of the EU-China Action Plan on customs enforcement of IPR

The 9th EU-China IPR Working Group Meeting takes place at EUIPO on 17th October. In the context of the Action Plan 2018-2020 concerning EU-China Customs Cooperation, this working group meeting aims at enhancing IPR enforcement activities of customs, and supporting practical cooperation on IPR enforcement between the authorities at local level in the EU and China.

A delegation from GACC and Chinese customs offices, representatives of DG TAXUD, customs officers from the 13 Member States of the European Union, as well as representatives of European Commission participated in the Working Group meeting.

The meeting consists of 7 topics which include but not limited to, the current Strategic Framework, jointly analysis on the results of seizure statistics as well as joint enforcement cooperation. As a part of the project implementation, IP Key China supports the preparation and organisation of this Working Group Meeting, coordinated by the Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union (TAXUD) and GACC.
