The EU is Latin America’s main development partner. As a result of the region’s growing importance as a key market for many EU businesses, EU engagement with Latin America has steadily increased.
The EU works with Latin America through the EU-LAC bi-regional partnership that includes a network of association, trade, political and cooperation agreements.
Furthermore, the EU actively supports regional integration in Latin America through structured dialogues on political and economic cooperation with regional groupings, such as the Andean Community (CAN), MERCOSUR and Central America (via the Secretariat for Economic Integration - SIECA).
IP Key Latin America supports the EU in its Free Trade Agreement talks and Intellectual Property (IP) Dialogues by providing the necessary technical expertise on IP issues.
Throughout its life, IP Key Latin America will support international businesses, especially EU businesses, in obtaining, managing and enforcing their intellectual property in Latin American countries
