IP Key LA Closing Event
The main objective of this activity is to inform key stakeholders about the main outcomes of the IP Key LA second phase.
Annual Work Plan 3-2024 (AWP3-2024) continues to build on the activities implemented under the four AWPs of the first phase of IP Key LA (1 September 2017 to 31 August 2021) and on the two AWPs of the second phase.
The AWP3-2024 covers an implementation period of 12 months, from January to December 2024, and comprises 22 activities, The distribution of activities, according to priorities identified and areas of concern in LA countries, is as follows: cross-IP (19 %), trade marks and industrial designs (29 % grouped), enforcement activities (24 %), geographical indications (5 %), plant varieties (10 %), copyright (10 %), and patents (5 %).
The activities of the current work plan have been planned to maximise their impact and volume of reach, concentrating on online activities, hybrid activities, and studies.

During this third visit to the region, the IP Key project delegation met with some 50 stakeholders in 20 different meetings across major countries of the Andean region, where activities pertaining to areas of mutual interest (up to 40) were identified.
During its second mission, the IP Key project was presented to more than 60 stakeholders in some 20 meetings across the major countries of Central America and Mexico. These exchanges resulted in a very large number of suggestions (80) for activities of the Annual Work Plan.
