High-level study tour on Plant Variety Protection and its benefits

The activity consists of a technical workshop together with a study visit, which will be organised in Spain. The activity will be based on site visits and direct discussions with EU breeding companies, farmers and growers.

This study visit will include a theoretical and practical session on how the 1991 Act of the UPOV Convention benefits plant variety protection for farmers and growers. It will also provide stakeholders with a platform where they can address their concerns and seek practical solutions through exchanges with EU experts and EU breeding companies, farmers and growers.
