Activities

The current Annual Work Plan 2 - 2023 (AWP2) covers an implementation period of 12 months, from 1 January to 31 December 2023, and consists of 21 activities, all contributing to the key results of the action.

The distribution of activities in the AWP2, according to the priorities identified and the areas of concern in the LA countries, focuses on enforcement (19 %). In addition, the AWP2 focuses on Cross-IP, trade marks and designs, geographical indications, plant varieties, copyrights and patents. It is worth mentioning that several ‘cross IP’ and ‘enforcement’ activities cover the abovementioned IPRs.

The AWP2 - 2023 is seen as an opportunity to dedicate more resources to the creation of great value deliverables, while also providing the basis for subsequent actions.

Accordingly, as outlined below, the majority of the 2023 activities will have sub-regional coverage, thanks to the possibility of using new technologies, such as teleconferencing and videoconferencing.
