IP Key Latin America (LA) brings together experts from Latin America in the ‘Virtual Workshop on patent examination: computer-implemented inventions, new technologies and trends’.

As part of the activities carried out by the IP Key LA project, and in cooperation with the European Patent Office (EPO), a virtual workshop for Latin American patent examiners will be held on October 25 and 26.

Officials from the European Union and the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) of Thailand met for the EU-Thailand IPR Dialogue in Brussels, Belgium, on 5 October. The IPR Dialogue is where experts from the EU and Thailand discuss areas of cooperation and exchange information on various aspects of IP rights.

With IP Key China’s continuous commitment, the cooperation between the EU and China on Plant Variety Protection (PVP) has advanced in recent years. Proper protection for plant varieties in the Chinese market not only benefits the breeders, farmers, and producers but also serves end consumers and citizens. European Union breeders show an increasing interest to invest in China and are the first foreign applicants in numbers for many species.
