Since its inception in 2017, IP Key South-East Asia (IP Key SEA)–an EU Funded project implemented and co-funded by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)–has played a pivotal role in transforming the intellectual property (IP) landscape of Southeast Asia. The project has enabled meaningful dialogue and cooperation between the EU and countries in the region concerning IP protection and enforcement, ultimately benefiting creators and innovators while strengthening economies and social safeguards.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) expresses its condolences and solidarity with the people of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Indonesia in the aftermath of torrential rains and severe flooding, which have caused extensive loss of life, widespread destruction of villages and infrastructure, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people.

It hosts the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights, an integral part of the EUIPO, consisting of a network of experts and specialist stakeholders tasked with enforcement and outreach and knowledge services to protect and promote IP rights and support those directly engaged in enforcement.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) promotes the convergence of trade mark and industrial design practices at the international level. Its aim is to simplify the application and registration process for users of the IP system within the EU and beyond.
