The EU-China Seminar on the Specialised Litigation Procedures for IP Cases

On 23 May, IP Key China held the Seminar on the Specialised Litigation Procedures for IP Cases in partnership with the Supreme People’s court of China (SPC), bringing together judges from courts in EU Member States and China to exchange practices and experiences. This activity followed the Forum on the Comparative Approach to Judiciary Procedures that took place last September.

The Study on the Impact of the 2019 Amendment of the Chinese Trade Mark Law considers to what extent the newly enacted provisions of the Chinese Trademark Law facilitate or hinder the possibility for rights holders on the ground to uphold their trade mark in the Chinese IP system. The focus of the Study is the impact of the newly enacted provisions on the ability of original brand owners to defend their rights against bad faith trade marks in China.
