IP Key LA, the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and the EU Delegation in Mexico have presented the first IP Economic Impact Study in Latin America. This study focuses on the Mexican economy and is the result of a long and detailed investigation carried out over several months.
In a technological and social environment that is undergoing major transformations – with a growing tendency towards a data-oriented economy and society, the emergence of AI, and the growing importance of technologies such as blockchain, 3D-printing and the Internet of Things (IoT) – the need for protecting intellectual property rights has never been more important.
A CII is a computer-implemented invention based on the use of a computer, computer network or other programmable apparatus with features realised wholly or partly by means of a computer program.
In order to provide training for the officials of local IP Offices in charge of the examination of CII patents, the European Patent Office and IP Key LA have designed a virtual workshop set to be held over two half-day sessions in March 2021.
