In China, significant legal reforms, such as the 2019 amendments to the Anti-Unfair Competition Law (AUCL), have enhanced the protection of trade secrets. Despite these advancements, challenges remain, particularly in enforcement and judicial consistency.

The EU and China exchanged new developments and challenges in strengthened IP protection system at CIPAC

On 13 September 2024, the Seminar on New Developments and Challenges in Strengthened IP Protection System in the EU and China took place in Beijing, China, under the China Intellectual Property Annual Conference (CIPAC). The event, organised by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in the context of the EU-funded project IP Key China, and the Intellectual Property Publishing House (IPPH) under the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), was held at the Zhongguancun Innovation Center.

IP Key China facilitates SPP’s participation at EIPPN meeting

Thanks to the coordination of the IP Key China, EU-funded project implemented by EUIPO, a Chinese delegation of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China (SPP) attended Geneva, Switzerland, for a two-day meeting with the European Intellectual Property Prosecutor’s Network (EIPPN).
