Roundtable on Copyright Protection in the Digital Environment concluded in Xi´an

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), on 21 November 2024 and as part of the EU-funded IP Key China project and in partnership with the Copyright Society of China (CSC) held an engaging IP Café session in Beijing. The event gathered experts from the EU and China to explore the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on copyright protection and enforcement.
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in the context of the EU-funded project IP Key China, organises periodic IP Cafés - a series of open and interactive discussions on current intellectual property (IP) issues affecting the development of intellectual property law in China and Europe. These forums aim to foster an environment where participants can engage in meaningful discussions and exchange insights.
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in collaboration with the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC), will co-host a Roundtable on Copyright Protection in the Digital Environment in Xi’an, China on 19-20 November, 2024. With the organisation of this event, the EUIPO, in the context of the EU-funded project IP Key China, aims to bring together key stakeholders from both the private and public sectors to discuss recent developments in copyright legislation in the EU and China, as well as emerging global issues in copyright practices and online protection.
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) attended the GI Law and Intellectual Property Forum as part of the EU-funded IP Key China project delivering a presentation on geographical indications for craft and industrial products in the European Union. The Forum was organised under the Global 2024 Geographical Indications Products Expo (GIPE), which took place from 20-22 September in Luzhou, Sichuan province, China.
