Joint Statement of the 20th EU-China Summit welcomes launch of IP Key China

The 20th EU-China Summit was held on 16 July 2018. H.E. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, and H.E. Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, met in Beijing for the Summit. 

The Joint Statement of the Summit was issued by EU and China and mentioned that: “Both EU and China sides welcomed the successful launch of IP Key China and the signature of the Action Plan Concerning EU-China Customs Cooperation on IPR (2018-2020). The two sides agreed to reinforce their joint efforts to fight IPR infringements, in particular in mutually agreed priority areas." The 8th EU-China IPR Working Group Meeting in the context of the Action Plan Concerning EU-China Customs Cooperation on IPR (2018-2020) has been taken place in Shanghai from 5th- 8th June. 

This new IP Key China project was officially launched on the 17th January 2018, which aims at taking cooperation on IP in China to new heights.
