Seminário sobre Variedades Vegetais no Equador
Ecuador is a major exporter of roses, with many of the varieties owned by European breeders. One of the main objectives of this activity is to raise awareness among flower growers about the importance of the IP system and the understanding of plant variety rights (PVRs).
This activity is a seminar aimed at flower growers in a region close to the largest rose producers in Ecuador. The focus will be on explaining the global rose market and the importance of the plant variety protection (PVP) system for its proper functioning. Also, experts from Peru and Colombia will be invited to provide another perspective to the issue. CPVO´s president will be the guest of honour in this activity.
