A atividade consiste em estudos personalizados para ajudar o Uruguai a se preparar para a adesão ao Tratado de Cooperação em Matéria de Patentes (PCT), a Costa Rica para a adesão ao Protocolo de Madri e a Argentina para o Acordo de Viena que estabelece uma Classificação Internacional dos Elementos Figurativos das Marcas.

New Manual for Trademark Examination in the Andean Community

In a collaborative effort between the General Secretariat of the Andean Community (SGCAN) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the renewed Manual for trademark examination in the Andean countries was presented in 2023. This document aims to enhance the quality of trademark registration services in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, providing practical recommendations and guidelines for examiners, although its use is not mandatory.

IP Key LA participated in the sixth phase of Operation 404

IP Key LA was present in the sixth phase of Operation 404, an international action against piracy aimed at suppressing crimes committed against intellectual property on the internet.

The action is part of an internationally integrated mobilization coordinated by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (National Secretariat of Public Security of Brazil), the Civil Police of Brazil, and Law Enforcement Agencies from the United Kingdom, Peru, the United States, and Argentina.
