EUIPO to consolidate and strengthen collaboration on IP with Latin America at the IP Key LA Summit in Brazil.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), a leading organization in the field of Intellectual Property (IP), announces the IP Key LA Summit on February 4, 2025, in Brazil. The event, which will be streamed live online (Registration link), aims to strengthen cooperation between Europe and Latin America, recognizing the collaboration of Latin American intellectual property offices involved in the IP Key LA project.

The IP Key LA Summit will serve as a forum for IP experts to discuss key challenges and explore ways to enhance cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Latin America on intellectual property. The event will bring together representatives from IP offices across Europe and Latin America, as well as key stakeholders, including INTERPOL, the European Commission, Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas (SEBRAE), Associação Brasileira da propriedade intelectual (ABPI), and Asociación Interamericana de la Propiedad Intelectual (ASIPI).

The IP Key LA Summit 2025 in Rio de Janeiro will also mark the final event of the IP Key LA project, capturing and reflecting on seven years of international cooperation between the EU and Latin American countries. This cooperation will continue under the AL Invest Next program, ensuring the ongoing collaboration and support for intellectual property initiatives in the region.
