International Seminar on Geographical Indications

On 25 and 26 April 2024, the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce will host an event on geographical indications (GI) to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (CRT) and the 50th Anniversary of the Protected Denomination of Origin (PDO) Tequila.

Titled ‘Advances in GIs: latest trends and global challenges’, the seminar will provide a space to exchange ideas and experiences. IP Key Latin America will participate with the CRT by presenting the experience of regulatory councils in the EU.

What to expect from the seminar?
This international seminar will be a unique opportunity to delve into the world of GIs and PDOs, and to understand their importance in the global arena. Renowned experts will discuss the latest trends and challenges in the field. From intellectual property (IP) protection to the impact on international trade, topics relevant to various sectors will be addressed.

Where and when?
The meeting will take place at the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce, located at Av. Ignacio L Vallarta 4095, Don Bosco Vallarta, 45040, Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. The two-day event will be held from 25 to 26 April 2024.
