IP Key China continues support to EU-China cooperation and exchange activity on the protection of new plant varieties
IP Key China continues to support the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration (NFGA) of China to organise the exchange activity on new plant varieties protection. This activity includes two sessions.
On 23-24 November, two experts from CPVO will conduct a study visit at the Plant New Variety Testing (Shanghai) Sub-Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to conduct a quality assessment of mushroom DUS testing. For the follow-up CPVO entrusted this sub-centre to undertake the advanced technical assessment of DUS testing of mushroom varieties.
From 27-29 November, a three-day online technical training course on new plant variety protection will be held. European experts will conduct DUS testing and examination training for students in China’s new plant variety protection system. This training course aims to enhance skills in the technical examination of plant variety rights applications and foster the exchange of best practices among the EU and China authorities.
