The 8th EU-China Conference on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Protection Online and Innovation was held on 28 May 2025, in Beijing.
This year’s conference featured a series of panel discussions addressing key challenges and practical solutions in the dynamic landscape of IPR enforcement and protection. Topics included joint efforts by customs authorities and e-commerce platforms to combat online counterfeiting. These discussions also considered the impact of AI-generated content on IP ownership and enforcement, comparative best practices in IPR protection across China and Europe, and the primary concerns EU companies face within China’s rapidly evolving e-commerce environment.
The conference brought together representatives from government agencies, industry and international organizations, aiming to promote communication and exchanges in internet intellectual property protection and cross-border IP enforcement between the EU and China.
