The EU-China Seminar on the Specialised Litigation Procedures for IP Cases

The EU-China Seminar on the Specialised Litigation Procedures for IP Cases

On 23 May, IP Key China held the Seminar on the Specialised Litigation Procedures for IP Cases in partnership with the Supreme People’s court of China (SPC), bringing together judges from courts in EU Member States and China to exchange practices and experiences. This activity followed the Forum on the Comparative Approach to Judiciary Procedures that took place last September.

The seminar promoted exchange on different aspects of IP litigations: procedures used to prepare the trial and conduct the hearing, the role of technical assistance or the principles underlying jurisdiction and supervision. For each topic, judges from EU Member States and China presented their experiences, which were further analysed during a Q&A session.

The seminar represents the most recent contribution of the IP Key China project to the continuous exchange and dialogue required to enhance the judicial protection of intellectual property rights in the EU and China.
