Plant Variety Rights Enforcement Seminar

The PVR enforcement online seminar will take place from 30 November to 2 December. It will be conducted by the Community Plant Variety Office, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration (NFGA) of the People’s Republic of China.

The online seminar is creating an opportunity for participants such as organisations of producers, farmers and breeders, enforcement officials, representatives of EU and Chinese Examination Offices and the UPOV (International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants), to discuss the difficulties that breeders face when enforcing their plant variety rights.

The seminar’s objective is to increase awareness amongst stakeholders of the applicable legislation by sharing information and experience related to the enforcement of plant variety rights in China.
