23rd EU-China IP Working Group Meeting

The 23rd meeting of the EU-China IP Working Group was held on 14 January at the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM) in Beijing. IP Key China study: Lessons from the EU experience with memoranda of understanding in tackling the online sale of counterfeit goods

Earlier this year, the IP Key China team commissioned a study to look at how applicable the memorandum of understanding approach might be to the online anti-counterfeiting drive in China. The resulting study, which was unveiled on 21 November 2019 in Haikou, draws on over 30 surveys and in-depth interviews conducted with businesses and authorities in the EU and China as well as legal cases where the China e-Commerce law has been applied. 2019 Annual Appreciation Dinner held in Beijing

Wednesday, 23 January, IP Key China held its 2019 Annual Appreciation Dinner at the TRB Copper to gather EU and Chinese stakeholders. During Dinner, Ulrich Weigl, Head of Trade Section to the Delegation of the European Union to China, and Jiang Chenghua, Deputy Director General of the Department of Treaty and Law of the PRC Ministry of Commerce, gave a speech to celebrate the past cooperation and mark the beginning of a new year. IP Café at South China University of Technology

IP Key China partnered with the Law School of South China University of Technology to hold an IP Café, part of a series of events from IP Key China, entitled IPR PROTECTION FOR THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY.
